The American Academy of Dramatic Arts录取，在那里他得到了制片人Michael Kahn的指导。 在Alfred Uhry的《The Last Night of Ballyhoo》中，保罗成功出演了剧中主角，本剧更是荣获当年托尼奖最佳戏剧。
